Poken – Great for networking

So last night, I was at SMU Entrepreneurship night for the second time and there was a sharing on this new product Poken. The business owner, Christopher was giving it out to a few attendees and I was lucky enough to receive one. Yep, so there I was holding it in my hand the whole night hoping to be able to get to try it out.

This is how it works:

Basically, to use it all you need to do is “hi-5″ another person’s Poken and the contact details will be automatically transferred. It will be stored on your Poken account where you can access it on the web. At the end of the event, just sync the contacts by plugging in your Poken with the computer. Simple.

Poken has attracted significant media attention around the world, and has won a number of awards for innovation and excellence, including the 2009 TechCrunch Europa award for “Best Real World Gadget”, the “25 Most Promising European Web & Mobility Start-ups” by the European Tech Tour (ETT), and the “newcomer” category of the Swiss ICT award, which honors cutting-edge technologies which are developed and commercialized in Switzerland.

If you are in Singapore and is interested in purchasing, you may get it from the local distributor Poken Island.

    Hi Amelia,

I am glad that you enjoyed the experience of using Pokens to network with others. I definitely see more potential in our upcoming Poken products with the use of Near Field Technology (NFC) to help event organizers share more varieties of information with their clients and create a lead generation mechanism with our Poken Tags.

I hope to see you again in our next presentation when we have the new Poken products.

    Regards,
